Fun in Cork
We had a lot of fun dancing here in this modern beautiful gay bar in Cork as the DJ played mostly pop tunes not those hard banging eletronic music. We danced and drank all night. Great friendly staff and some cute eye candy too. Highly recommend it! We'll be back for sure.
Too loud plus hours are crap
Despite the personal attacks by corkdude (who chooses to be anonymous): I like Chambers for the most part but the music gets way too loud - in fact it gets so loud the amps clip and the sound distorts! The hours have been greatly reduced and despite calling itself a gay bar it advertises to straights (student night, ladies night) who often overrun the place. I still visit around once a month to catch up with friends.
ignore cybernoelie
I know people are entitled to their opinions but I dislike it when they make up stuff to discredit a place. Chambers is a full time gay bar, and does not advertise straight nights! Also the music is not that loud, you can always stay near the main door and sit on a comfortable chair to escape the music if you think it's too loud! Also chambers has regular half price drink nights, which is great value for the cork scene! Chambers rocks and is the place to be!
Chambers
Stopped in on a friday night. There were a few locals, majority female, playing a video dog racing game. There was no cover to get in which was good. After about 20 minutes of sitting at an empty bar without music or dancing, i moved on.
